Andrea Noah has been employed with West Nova Inclusive Employment Society (WNIES) since September 1997 when it first opened it’s doors. As Manager, Andrea is responsible for the overall direction and effective administration of activities, programs and strategic initiatives set out by the board of directors of WNIES. Andrea ensures that all initiatives meet budget requirements. Andrea also oversees the development and provision of programs and services offered by WNIES.

Andrea completed a program of studies in the Certificate in Non-Profit Sector Management in June 2002 at Dalhousie University. Andrea has over 12 years experience working with persons with disabilities. Andrea also has a strong background in business and financial management.

In the past few years, Andrea has faced some health challenges of her own but continues to work hard to overcome those challenges. Andrea considers herself to be fortunate, to have the opportunity to work with the board members of WNIES, the staff of WNIES, the staff at Service Canada Yarmouth and especially the clientele. Andrea feels that she’s learned much more from human relations and human resources than any textbook that she ever came across.

One of Andrea’s goals is “to work diligently to find ways for persons with disabilities, who wish to return into the workforce, to find meaningful employment”.
